Nervous system support isn’t just for healing trauma — it’s also the key to unlocking creative flow. These 90-minute Somatic Experiencing® sessions are designed for therapists, wellness professionals, and other big-hearted creatives who want to bring their ideas into the world without burning out or second-guessing themselves into oblivion.

Instead of only processing trauma, we’ll be processing creativity. That means I’ll be tracking your nervous system for clues about where limiting beliefs, internalized messaging (hello, patriarchy 👋), and old survival strategies might be blocking your creative process. At the same time, I’ll help you notice when your creativity is actually in alignment with your body — so you can identify the conditions that support your most natural, easeful flow.

This isn’t just theory. I bring years of experience as a professional designer and creative entrepreneur into our work together. Since 2018, I’ve been researching and practicing trauma-informed design, weaving Somatic Experiencing® principles into everything from 10,000 square foot interior projects to international retreats, to stickers. Translation: I understand both the messy reality of the creative process and the nervous system wisdom that can support it.

Sessions are casual, comfortable, and yes — a little witty. We’ll go deep, but I’ll also keep it human (because nothing kills creativity faster than taking ourselves too seriously).

Think of it as nervous system support for your next big idea — part regulation, part creative coaching, part gentle “hey, maybe that inner critic doesn’t actually need to be in charge anymore.”

How does scheduling sessions work?

After check out you will receive an email with a link to schedule through google calendar. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session you can do that through google calendar too. Sessions are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. If you need a different day of the week please email me at hannah@cleverbabes.co to see about my availability.

What do I need for my session?

You will be emailed questions to answer before your session, please answer those at least 12 hours before your session. For the session bring a journal or something to take notes with and come as you are. It’s normal to feel nervous! You do not need to be “in a good mood” to participate and enjoy individual somatic sessions. Please bring comfort items such as pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, fidgets, etc as needed to prioritize physical comfort during the session. You are welcomed and encouraged to bring drinks and snacks as well. If you have any notes or documents to share please have those ready as well.

Please come prepared to say no to anything that doesn’t feel right for you, and to ask for support if you are feeling significantly more discomfort than comfort. My goal is that you leave feeling more comfortable in your body than when you arrived. While these sessions are lighter than traditional trauma healing sessions, it can still be uncomfy to notice limiting beliefs and patterns of dysregulation. Please take care of yourself and respect your own capacity and boundaries.

Discounted Rate Options:

I know first hand how difficult it is to ask for financial support. In an effort to make this group more accessible without adding to your stress load I have three pricing options listed. If you can’t comfortably afford full price please choose an option that better aligns with your budget. I trust that you will choose the option best for you and that honors my time and the value of my work.

If you need a further discount I am happy to offer sliding scale pricing to queer, disabled, and/or bipoc folks. Please reach out via email to hannah@cleverbabes.co with a brief description of the project you would like to work on together and I will send you more info about my sliding scale rates.

Cancellation Policy:

There are no refunds for cancelled personal sessions. You can always reschedule a session if it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the session start time.

Session Facilitator:

Hannah (she/her) is a queer Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and trauma informed designer. Her approach to nervous system regulation and healing work is based on the belief that you already have everything you need to heal within you. You may need help accessing this information from your nervous system, but it is innate in each of us. She sees her role as a facilitator between you and this inner “knowing” as she calls it. She believes you are the expert on your life and ultimately you are the only one who knows what you need. Her work is consent based and she hopes to help participants connect with the sensation of no and feel comfortable expressing it to themselves and others. Read more about Hannah here.

Somatic Experiencing Practitioner:

Somatic Experiencing (or SE) is a three-year professional training in trauma healing. It's designed for therapists and bodyworkers (massage therapists, physical therapists, etc.) to understand how stress is stored in, and can be released from, our bodies. Read more about how it works here. I have completed the 3 year training and have done over 200 hours of personal sessions with my somatic therapist. This work is not just something I preach- it's a practice that has transformed my life.

Trauma Informed Designer:

I hold a master's degree in Interior Architecture and Product Design from Kansas State University. Over five years I learned how to apply the design process to make things as small as pasta noodles and as big as buildings.

I began researching trauma informed design in educational environments in 2018 where I learned of the school to prison pipeline. This directly inspired my thesis research on trauma informed design in police buildings in 2019. This was the first time I applied principles from Somatic Experiencing® to design, and since graduating in 2020 I have continued my research professionally as a trauma informed designer.

I research the design process and how nervous system regulation and trauma healing can be applied to it. This work can be applied to any scale of design from products to interior spaces to buildings.

Fine Print:

Please note that Hannah is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, not a therapists. Individual somatic sessions are not a replacement for therapeutic mental health support, but are a great addition to it. You are responsible for your personal safety before, during, and after these sessions. If you feel unsafe please call 911 or seek out a licensed therapist for support.
